    CareOne is hiring an experienced Leave of Absence Coordinator in Fort Lee, NJ


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities


    • Confirm FMLA eligibility and submit applicable forms

    • Provide accurate information to employees and management as it relates to FMLA and Short Term Disability leaves

    • Confirm that time cards are coded accordingly to reflect leave codes and available PTO

    • Monitor and track the employee portion of health benefit premiums while on unpaid leave of absence

    • Responsible for completion of NJ State Short Term Disability claim forms and other applicable leave related forms

    • Other projects as assigned

    • Travel maybe required




    • Individual must be organized and detailed oriented

    • Ability to proactively deal with leave related issues

    • Able to educate employees and/or staff of leave options and processes

    • Critical thinking with the ability to use judgement and decipher what is accurate and what options are available

    • Strong communication and writing skills

    • Excellent customer service

    Skills and Training


    • Knowledge of federal FMLA and state specific leaves such as Massachusetts, California and Connecticut

    • Flexible and has the capability to deliver results in a fast paced and high volume environment

    • Knowledge of Coordination of Benefits as it relates to Worker’s Compensation with time loss

    • Knowledge of ADAAA



    • Bachelor’s degree preferred

    • Three to Five years of Leave of Absence experience
