    Responsibilities

    The Director of Recreation will be responsible for, but not limited to:

    1 Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the activity programs of this facility

    2 Oversee the reporting to referral sources of resident progress toward the attainment of specified goals

    3 Insure the delivery of services to each resident as listed in their individual treatment plan

    4 Actively Participates and identifies areas for continuing quality improvement for patient care

    5 Makes daily rounds throughout the facility

    6 Serve as Program representative to prospective applicants and referral sources

    7 Act as liaison between Rehabilitation Teams and Administration

    9 Coordinate Neuro-Behavior Team members scheduling:

       a.   Treatment scheduling

       b.    Vacation/days off scheduling

    8 Conduct second interview with potenital program staff

    9 Facilitate & attend meetings as needed

    10 Develop, maintatin, and/or revise Program services necessary to meet the needs of the reisdents

    11 Assists Program Director in Identifying, developing, and implementing staff training program pertinent to the tra\eatment of residents in the neuro rehab program

    12 Accepts other assignments and duties as requested by the Pogram Director and/or Administrator

     

     

    Qualifications

    Position Requirements:

    • Master's Degree and a License as a Mental Health Counselor or relevant License in relevant clinical area such as Clinical or Counseling Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling
    • Two year's experience, with at least one year in supervisory or management position
    • Behavioral background helpful
    • Must possess leadership ability and motivational skills for effective communication and program development with staff and residents
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings/weekends
    • Previous experience with dementia activities preferred
