    The Assistant Nursing Home Administrator will be responsible for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the facility's programs and activities of the Long Term Care Facilities, ensuring the delivery of competent and age appropriate care that encompasses the physiological and psychological needs of the resident. Collaborates with the other Medical Center and System leaders in designing and providing resident care and organization wide services. Works and communicates with all individuals at the appropriate age/level of education/maturity/understanding.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Liaison to community centers to introduce the services offered by Nursing Center
    2. Liaison and marketing responsibilities with area Hospitals, Physicians and various medical centers bringing new admits to the Nursing Center
    3. Leading and assisting in Admissions processes
    4. Insuring patient and family have a unique and comfortable experience in the admissions process(es).
    5. Ensures that appropriate standards of resident care and practice are developed, consistent with current nursing and other research findings, as well as state and nationally recognized professional standards.
    6. Assist department supervisors in the development and use of departmental policies and procedures, and review the policies and procedures annually to assure continued appropriateness and compliance with current regulations
    7. Provide direction to department supervisors to assist in developing and maintaining department specific budgets, including operational and capital expense items.
    8. Maintain open communication with the Medical Director and other members of the medical staff.
    9. Complies with all state and federal regulatory agencies and requirements.
    10. Participate and develop surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies.
    11. Review and develop a plan of correction (POC) for deficiencies noted during the survey process and provide written copy of the POC to the Administrations of the health system.
    12. Maintain good public relations program that serves the best interest of the community and the facility alike.
    13. Consult with departmental supervisors to assist in correcting/elimination problem areas, or improving services.


    Position Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Healthcare management experience
    • Nursing home experience, preferred
